Husky Stadium has stood for nearly nine decades as one of Seattle’s largest capacity sporting and events stadium and will close after Saturday’s football game against Oregon for extensive renovations. The $250 million renovation will see the iconic waterfront stadium be mostly torn down starting after the game. In a stadium that has seen hundreds of college football games, NFL games, Presidential speeches and commencement ceremonies, welcoming the Oregon Ducks to play the last game (for now) is a fitting grand finale. The No. 6 ranked Ducks are a natural rival and should prove to be an event to remember.
